Drupal for UX professionals

I am starting an engagement doing the UI for a large-scale Drupal implementation. I have no Drupal experience. Does anyone have ideas for me (videos, books, message boards, etc) to get up to speed? I see that there are a plethora of resources out there, but most that I have found are either geared toward developers, or they are small scale, like setting up your own blog.

Leisa Reichelt - Design by Community: The Drupal.org Redesign

Just how do you re-design a website when you effectively have 200,000+ clients? Is design by community as bad as design by comittee?

That's the challenge we faced when we were tasked with redesigning the drupal.org website - home of the large, international and very active Drupal community.

Why is Drupal is a Good Choice for a Community Website?

First off, I WANT to like Drupal and I WANT to not cringe every time I'm brought onto a project where the development team is using Drupal and we're not allowed to make a user-friendly site "in scope."

IxDA website project: it\'s a go!

Dear IxDA community & those who care about us,

Firstly, THANK YOU again to all the IxDA supporters from around the
globe who contributed financially during our recent fundraising
drive. IxDA garnered $15,813, over half-way towards our ambitious
goal of $30,000 to support the IxDA.org website redesign project
(code-named Conan).

Some folks have been wondering if the Conan project will be able to
continue despite not reaching our fundraising goal. I'm happy to
announce that the project is very much a GO! The fundraiser was not
the determining factor for this project.
