How should we design apps differently for tablets and smartphones?

Tablets are larger and a better form factor for browsing and reading while smartphones can best handle immediate needs and entertainment. That said, how different should an app be that is being deployed on both platforms and what guidelines should be followed?

Research tools for mobile devices? (software & hardware)

Hi,

Can anyone recommend any software/hardware that they have heard of, or have experience with, as far as conducting user testing on mobile devices, i.e., tablets and smartphones?

I am wondering what's out there and what seems to be well reviewed or popular.

Thanks,

John Terceman
