Looking for an Entry-level position in Europe

Hey everyone,

This post is mostly for those of you already in Europe. I'm graduating with a BS in Human-Computer Interaction and a BA in Int'l Relations soon, and I'm really interested in just working in Europe for a little bit as a UX/Ix Designer. I have 1-2 years of design experience.

So those of you US citizens working in Europe right now, how did you end up there? How was the visa process?

I'm looking for resources on first finding a UX-related job abroad, and then information on how to do the entire legal process.

Just arrived in Paris from Hong Kong

Hi Everyone, Bonjour tout le monde,

I just landed 10 days ago in Paris where I'll be staying for at least the next 3 years. I'm originally French, but I've spent the last 11 years of my life in Hong Kong, where I was involved with the IxDA as an organizer and most recently worked as Product Manager in a start-up called GoAnimate in charge of all the site and tools' conceptual design among other things.

Are there any meet-ups in Paris organized by IxDA?

Any other association that is active in Paris in the field of user experience / Interaction Design?
