The IxDA Sydney mentorship pilot program has had an excellent response, with 15 students, mostly from University of Sydney, and 12 IxDA members volunteering to mentor them. Thank you to all the mentors who have donated their time to help shape the future of Interaction Design in Sydney.
Hi all, I'm new here. I have a few issues I keep running into. I want to pursue a career in interface design, but I don't know If my portfolio even stands out yet. My school does not have an extensive interface design side program, so I have only had maybe 2 courses in the field. I need advice on what I could do on my own to learn more from tutorial resources or even books. Maybe initiate my own personal projects? Any feedback can help! I'm just really confused on what to do as a student.
I am a prospective student on a specialization course in interaction design. My background is in a general design programme (with a focus on graphic design) where I have worked freelance with games and apps. What I am interested in is how competetive the job market is out there? The kind of position I would love to have after my specialization course is as a interaction designer at a digital agency preferably in Stockholm - Sweden, London, New York or San Francisco. If anyone of you have any insights regarding this I would be delighted to hear them :)
