At my work we're gearing up to rebuilding one of our major applications to support new platforms, mobile, etc... The current solution has more than a decade of work in it, and with it, more than a decade of solutions that are suboptimal, out of time, or simply bad.
I have a really big fear that we won't be successful at fixing these and delivering needed changes, because sales/management stops us because "the user got used to that solution, dont do this".
I'm very interested in interaction/UX design that I'd like to do this full time. After reading books like "About Face", "What makes them click", "Why we love or hate everyday things"..etc I started developing solutions for issues I had in mind, with the purpose of practicing design in general.
To work in this field full time, I was advised to enroll in a program. However, I'd like to keep my full time job in Dublin while studying.
Hi everyone, My name is Avner and I'm an experienced web designer located in Israel. I'm looking for a good master program in interaction design - anywhere in the world. I read some threads but a lot of them are out of date and I have plenty of questions. The first big issue is that I don't have a proper bachelor degree. I learned visual communication for 4 years (diploma studies) and I have a strong portfolio and work experience. Unfortunately the price of studying is crucial because my budget is low.
