IxDA relies on individual initiative, contribution, sharing and self-organization to achieve our goals. Meet some of the individuals from our community who have taken on leadership roles.

Andrea Mignolo

Interim President, Board of Directors

Andrea (aka Andi) is an American designer, writer, and seeker interested in complexity, consciousness, emergence, and learning. By day she is an executive coach working with leaders and teams dedicated to building better futures. By night she writes the becoming, a newsletter that sits at the edge of the known and unknown. In between she runs the cohort-based course Leader as Coach and the newsletter Words Make Worlds – endeavors dedicated to teaching leaders the art, science, and craft of the Coaching Leadership Style. Andi is also a fully certified Realization Process teacher guiding practices for relational healing, nondual spiritual awakening, and integration. Prior to coaching, Andi was a design and product executive in the tech space for over a decade.

Ana Domb

Vice President, Board of Directors

Ana Domb Krauskopf is an independent design researcher and strategist. She founded and directed the Interaction Design School at Veritas University in Costa Rica, the first IxD graduate program in Central America. She currently teaches at Lead University. Previously she was the Director of Brand Innovation at Almabrands in Chile. In the US, she worked at THE MEME, a design consultancy based out of Cambridge, MA.

She holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Media Studies from MIT, where she was part of the Convergence Culture Consortium under the direction of Henry Jenkins.

In past lives, she’s worked as a journalist, filmmaker and music producer. She has consulted with Turner Broadcasting, Comcast, BAC-Credomatic, Mesoamérica, HIVOS, UICN, amongst others.

Sami Niemelä

Director, Board of Directors

Sami is a design leader working at the intersection of systems, foresight and design. What he does daily is help teams, products and companies to become more resilient by making the right choices about their futures and business, and build teams, capabilities and organisations to support this in quest long term.

Over 20 years in the industry, he’s worked on several continents, earning international patents, numerous awards and built exits to the largest companies in the world. He’s organised and spoken at numerous industry events ranging from co-chairing Interaction 16 in Helsinki to local meet-ups (IxDA Helsinki) to being invited to speak at at Google in San Francisco.

Currently, he is one of the founders and the creative director at Nordkapp, a strategic design and innovation consultancy based in Helsinki and Amsterdam, and working globally. He is also an exhibited artist exploring the human potential in generative networks and machine learning.

Pablo Honey

Director, Board of Directors

Pablo is a designer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY focusing on digital media and its state of constant flux. He has worked throughout his career with design and technology at the pioneering agency DoubleYou in Barcelona as Design Director for clients such as Camper, Mahou, or Bacardi Group, then at R/GA New York as Creative Director for Nike, Google, Fossil, Volvo, or Samsung. In 2018 he joined Red Antler as Head of Product Design to build their digital practice. He currently works at Automattic.


Pablo has consistently helped both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups to capitalize on the transformation of advanced technologies and interfaces, from web, e-commerce, mobile apps, wearables, AI, VR, and a varied of forward-looking products and experiences.


His body of work has been showcased and recognized internationally in different Festivals and Awards, and he is often invited to share his passion for art, technology and design in forums like Ars Electronica, The New School/Parsons, or Istituto Europeo di Design among others.

Eduardo Aguayo

Regional Coordinator, Latin America

Eduardo is from Santiago, Chile, and is a co-leader for the local IxDA group, where he served as co-chair for ISA16’s organization team. He is a User Experience Consultant, graduated in Social Communications and Journalism and Master Degree (c) in Information Processing and Management. He works as independent consultant and as project manager on his own consultancy studio, 3DIAS. Also, he serves as teacher in academic programs and workshops for professionals.

Andrés Richero

Regional Coordinator, Latin America

Andrés is from Montevideo, Uruguay and for 20+ yrs he has worked at the intersection of Design & Software. He leads a globally distributed team of Design & Research professionals for an enterprise software platform. Andrés is passionate about helping companies reach their goals through outstanding experiences. Background: Founder of a Design Studio, worked on Digital Advertising & Software Dev. Along the way he’s worn various hats, such as Web Designer, Visual Designer, Frontend Developer & PM. For the last 10 years he’s been dedicated to Design Leadership at Oracle NetSuite, Community Leadership at IxDA Montevideo & Discipline/Practice Development at FADU UdelaR.

Jack Moffett

Regional Coordinator, North America

With a BFA in Graphic Design from West Virginia University and a Masters in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon, Jack has been designing web, desktop, and mobile applications for over 18 years. He has worked in both research and industry environments and has been teaching design part-time for a decade at WVU. As Manager of Design at CDG, Jack directs a small team of interaction designers performing everything from initial user research and product conceptualization to front-end implementation and testing.

Jack has designed software tools for Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Shell, DaimlerChrysler, Eaton, and many organizations within the U.S. military, including Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Naval Reactors, and NCIS. He is the author of Bridging UX and Web Development, co-founded IxDA Pittsburgh, and writes about design on designaday.tumblr.com.

Stephanie Aaron

Regional Coordinator, North America

Stephanie Aaron leads one of the design practices at J.P. Morgan Chase where she focuses on making things simpler and easier for employees and customers every single day.

Previously, she was a Local Leader for the New York City chapter. She was a key member of the team that brought the Interaction 17 conference to NYC. Most recently, she was on the North America regional core team and treasurer of the NYC chapter.

A native New Yorker, she holds a BFA from the Cooper Union and an MFA in Interaction Design from the School of Visual Arts. When not working, she can be found with her nose in a book and a 55lb pit bull on her lap or in a kayak on the Hudson River.

Kiat Lim

Regional Coordinator, Asia/Oceania

Kiat has been supporting IxDA’s mission since 2011 when he set up the IxDA Singapore chapter.

As an Interaction Designer, he is passionate about using design in ways that bring about meaningful impact to the society. With more than 14 years of experience in this field, Kiat now runs an independent design studio which focuses on helping startups and B-corps create impactful products and services that add value to their mission.

Kiat is also a passionate changemaker. He believes in sharing his experience and mentoring junior designers so that everyone, including himself, become better Interaction Designers and leverage on design to make this world a much better place.

Lisa Railey

Regional Coordinator, Asia/Oceania

Lisa is an experience design leader who lives in Sydney where she works with business to deliver success and solve the right problem for the user. She has spent the last 9 years designing product and service experiences across multiple industries, including government – where there is a need to be comfortable before making a decision, to the fast changing pace of retail, as well as telecommunications, financial institutions and business. She has managed, led and mentored design teams in agile, collaborative delivery of experiences across products and services, both online and offline.

Lisa has a BBus – International Business, holds a Masters in Interactive Multimedia and has pursued post grad study in Service Design. She is passionate about the intersection of humans and technology and particularly interested in the employee experience and organisational design. She believes that we must create the right spaces and environments to work in, so that we can deliver the right experience to our users.

Filip Szymczak

Regional Coordinator, Europe

Filip works currently as a Service Design Lead at Optum. He holds an MA in Management and Marketing and an MSc in Applied Digital Media.

He has over 12 years of experience working with companies in consumer products, financial services, telecommunications, public services, healthcare and charity sectors. Filip is fascinated by complex systems and processes and draws from people’s stories and experiences to design better products and services.

Filip joined IxDA in 2010 and has been leading the Dublin chapter since 2011. He has been a core team member of IxDA Europe since 2015.

Bettina Köbler

Regional Coordinator, Europe

Bettina is Lead Service Designer at McKinsey Berlin and co-founder of Designing for Children’s Rights, a non-profit organization that works closely with UNICEF to integrate children’s rights and ethics into design. She actively brings her service design skills to public sector design and is co-author of a handbook on public sector innovation. Bettina is contributing to IxDA’s mission since 2013, when she joined the IxDA Munich Chapter. Since then, she has led the chapter, joined the core team of IxDA Europe, and acts as Regional Coordinator for Europe. Prior to joining McKinsey, Bettina taught service design and design research at Munich University of Applied Sciences and worked as a strategic design consultant in various industries in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US.

Adriana Garibaldi

ILA23 Co-chair

Adriana (she/her) is from La Plata, Argentina. She is a co-leader of IxDA La Plata.

She’s a UX Technical Lead, holds a degree in Visual Communication and is a university professor, teaching Interaction Design. Adriana has more than 20 years experience in the industry, working in both public and private companies, financial institutions, educational and government entities, in Argentina and Spain.

Since 2014, together with IxDA La Plata, she has been conducting Taller UX and other events aimed at improving and promoting the discipline in the community.

Fernando Feller

ILA23 Co-chair

Fernando (he/him) is from La Plata, Argentina, and is aa co-leader of IxDA La Plata.

He is a User Experience Leader, graduated in Visual Communication Design. Over 20 years in the industry, he’s worked for public and private companies in the financial, educational, health and government sectors in Argentina, Chile, Panama, and Costa Rica.

Since 2014, under the IxDA La Plata banner, he’s organized numerous workshops and events to enhance the discipline and build the community.
