Doors of Perception conference this year?

Does anyone know if there will be a Doors conference in 2006?

I'm trying to decide on this vs. CHI. It does look like the CHI conference
has made some nice changes (free courses, longer, organization by practioner
discipline, etc.)

It seems like a choice between Inspiration and Facts. Personally, I find
Inspiration in shorter supply these days...one rarely hears complaints about
Inspiration Overload.

NYC IxDA Event: Adam Greenfield Discusses Ubiquitous Computing March 9 @ 6:30 pm

NYC IxDA IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE
Adam Greenfield Discusses Ubiquitous Computing

From smart buildings that subtly adapt to the changing flow of
visitors, to gesture-based interfaces like the ones seen in Minority
Report, computing no longer looks much like it used to. Increasingly
invisible but present everywhere in our lives, computing has moved
off the desktop and out into everyday life–affecting almost every one
of us.

double email process

I have to enter my e-mail address very often, I guess we all do. I always type it right. And I don't even copy-paste(imagine the excise:) ) Those twin entry fields have never helped me. Maybe they could help, once in one hundred times, but I guess we're back to the 'Are you sure you want to save this file' discussion :)

..There must be other ways to implement this. I find the auto-complete feature very helpful. If I'm not mistaking, the browser 'remembers' sets of entries for textboxes with the same name, nomather the website. So familiar names for those textboxes could help.
