Back to the Career Path Question...What if you are the only one?

I've gotten WAY behind in my digests and am just now getting to the thread
on Career Paths.

The question I have for the group is what are the opportunities for
growth/promotion/etc. when you are the only "You" in the company?

My current *title* is "UI Designer." My responsibilities range from writing
UI Specifications for embedded software to defining user interactions, to
performing user studies and testing, to empowering engineers to become more
customer-centric.

Control Redesign - Sequence Map - Researching possibilities

A Wizard, Sequence Map/Funnel, Roadmap, Process Tracker, Card stack,
Shopping cart.
They all have things in common.. and I'm designing a new one (akin more
with a Sequence map).

Has anyone seen some nice examples lately?
I'm on the look out for Interaction & visual design merits.

Recap of recent Portland, OR F2F

Hello list,

This is a recap of the engaging IxDA F2F meeting held in Portland, Oregon on
July 20th. We addressed the general topic of "how to make others do our IxD
bidding". It was pointed out that this is pretty a vague statement, and that
ways to convince people about the appropriateness of specific IxD solutions
