Design Awards

Does anyone know of a design award competition
focused on enterprise software design?

(I know of many for website design)

Thanks,
Russ

Digital Portfolio

Hi everyone,

I'm in a similar boat as Weiwei--I'm in the process of completing my digital
portfolio. I will have my MS in Human Factors in the summer of 2007. Many
of you are the user population for whom I am designing my portfolio. Your
feedback would be of great value to me. When looking at a portfolio what
information do you hope to see? What information should be emphasized?
What would you like to see that you may not see in most portfolios?

Class (was "Are interaction designers an elite class?")

I didn't see this thread until today, which is a strange coincidence because
I've been blogging a lot about class lately.

IxDA in Manila

Hello All!

We had our very first F2F meeting here in Manila and I could say that
it had little success. Attendance was low, but I'm still optimistic
things will pick up soon. The Interaction Design community here needs
to be more united and I'm thinking of ways on how to develop our local
IxDA chapter.

I'd like to ask the community on how you were able to overcome
challenges awareness and community participation. Are there any
specific steps to take on how to go about this?

Thanks!

IA, 2-months, Los Angeles | 60-100/hour

My Los Angeles client is one of the biggest advertising companies on the

They are looking for an IA for a 2-month consulting gig in the

I'm waiting on a full job specs, but I thought I'd get a jump on the gun
and see if there were any IA's in the Los Angeles area available for a
2-month consulting stint.
