How to display 'required' form fields when vastmajority are required

Have you considered grouping the optional fields together and having
"Optional" as part of the group label?

Are you going to the IA summit? Got time to kill friday?

I hope that subject line was clear enough to catch the right folks and
not annoy the wrong...

If you haven't anything planned Friday, I'm helping a major newspaper do
a little brainstorming with as many smart folks as we can round up.
There will be a present, and a chance to influence old media to be
smarter than new media at new media's game. And there will be a little
present for those who attend the brainstorm.

Trusted Resources

Looking to help client build a UXP/IxD Library to support in-house team.
Any Suggestions on Trusted Resources?

I see these areas:

(1) Technical Reference
"How to" books/tips, tricks & techniques (i.e. CSS)

(2) accessible high level Intros
to relevant - but not necessarily primary - areas (s.a XML or
Struts/Tiles)

(3) Usability & Design insights (Nielsen, Cooper, Spool, etc.)

(4) Websites (this isn't really a different area, just a different platform)

Big buttons and knobs for industry appliances?

Hi,

Does anyone know where to get big, heavy-duty buttons and knobs that
output standard keyboard and mouse signals? We'd like to have a fist-
size knob in the panel for some analog tuning and navigating around
the menus. A bit like Griffin Powermate, but bigger and more durable.
We need them for some industry appliances.

The typical panel PC's have too tiny and too plastic controls for big
and dirty hands.
