Prototyping Drag and Drop

I'm curious what people are doing to prototype drag and drop
interactions. Do any of the currently available prototyping tools,
such iRise and Axure, provide drag and drop? Is using HTML and
JavaScript the best option? Is Scriptaculous

worth a look?

Technology has become the driving force of change in the modern world. While hardware and software matured at a very fast pace, equal adoption of these technologies however continued to exclude individuals and communities from harnessing the true benefits. The power of design to link technology to the latent needs of users had not been fully exploited.

Cabn we start to redesign your list so it's more user friendly?

It needs to have feeds under different headings on one page and then we can
delve into the area of interest and the relevant posts. I love the listbut
it's just too hard to find what you want and archives. Event if we made each
subject a hotlink that went to that section like in yahoogroup posts or
development of the categories section on your website.

Examples of RIA interaction design patterns

Hi everyone,

My company focuses on RIA projects, and our design team is interested in
collecting lots of examples of interaction design patterns that leverage
the capabilities of a truly rich application. Of course, we've already
found a lot of great stuff on the web, but I wanted to reach out to this
list to see if you guys could contribute some of your favorites.

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

An inconvenient truth: CHI is not sustainable

since the paper mentioned below is "Interaction Design" based, I
thought I would pass it along here. I hope the paper will be made
public so we can have a better discussion, but in the meantime, what
are the issues of sustainability for our community?

* Work environment
* What is unsustainable about software? digital products?

Most sustainability talk is about the physical world.

Web Producer

This is an interesting perspective for job title and role. I have always thought of web design from an design firm perspective, with designers, sr designers, art directors and such. Some of my co-workers have come from an agency background and have similar take on roles and title. Of cource we all add in the UI and IA roles. What has surprised me recently is this role of Web Producer. For a long time I was not sure what that was. Now I am (guessing to some extent) thinking this is an art or creative director - but with hands on? Seem driven from the video production house perspective.
