Information Workplace/Enterprise Workplace User Data?

We're beginning to craft a strategy to move our communications/self-service
Intranet portal into more of an Information Workplace model. We expect to
spend several years on this strategy, evolving over time.

designs on 45 users (you can see a summary here along with a simple

of what it cost us:

This was a very successful event for us; we came back with great

Drawing and Sketching on Tablet PCs

What applications do you tablet PC users draw and sketch with?

I use a tablet pc at work - latest is a Lenovo x60. I use One Note for
quick drawings. I typically export/print to an image or PDF, which I can
then easily share.
I want to expand my toolset, though, and am looking for suggestions. My
typical work tools are Visio and iRise, but I'm looking for something to
draw in that lets me have an open canvas for freehand. Potential to scale
up would be nice.

JOB: Web application developer/prototyper (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada)

Great opportunity for a developer who's jazzed about design/usability/UX and
has the chops to quickly prototype and iterate web apps in a startup

We subscribe to the ³fail early, fail often² and ³serious play² philosophies
here, meaning we like to iterate quickly and burn through design concepts.
In order to do this properly, we need someone who can whip together working
prototypes of our favorite ideas for usability and concept testing, then
help usher the very best to market.

I¹m happy to answer questions.

Design Better with CRAP

Design Better with CRAP

The power and ease-of-use of today’s computer applications has raised
the bar drastically on the quality of design expected in the
documents we produce. As recently as ten years ago, it was typical to
produce business letters, memos, and other documents using a courier-
like, monospaced typeface, often with only underlining available for
emphasis of key passages or section headings.
