Defining UCD (and other things)

Charlie said:

"Well, if people are interested in collaborating on some of these
definitions, I would be happy to try and coordinate."

He also suggested a wiki as the tool of choice, which is a good idea. If
IxDA has a Basecamp account, though, it might be prudent to compile a short
list of people to include in a BC project, who can use a Writeboard to
create these definitions and then toss them out to the list for feedback.

Our definitions should go beyond UCD.

Sharepoint

Would be curious to learn about any experiences that UX/UI practitioners have had designing within a Sharepoint environment. Any particular constraints, successes, regrets, warnings are cheerfully received. Thanks all!

Aza Raskin's Humanized to help Mozilla refine Firefox user experience

Since browsers are likely the most commonly used app across various
user categories (I don't have any actual data on this), this should be
a positive development.

Prototyping for Computer vs. Mobile Screens

Hi All,

There have been several posts on prototyping tools.

For those who design for both computer & mobile screens, what is the best way/tools to prototype based on screen size/resolution? Does the tool you use matter? Or, is it just the design patterns that matter?

For example, many times the wireframe/prototype for a web site usually reflects the actual size of the real site. So, is that the same in mobile design?

Jobs in Asia-Pacific

Just wondering if anybody happens to know an effective recruitment
agency for Asia-Pacific or even better a job website for design
professionals. Specifically Interaction Designers/Information
Architects. I'm more interested in China/Singapore/Taiwan than
Australia.

Thanks!

How do I send a Flash prototype to a small/non-pc screen?

We've been testing an interactive Flash prototype on a laptop.
This prototype uses the keyboard and some extra controls connected with USB.
We used foam core to block out the areas not used or seen.

Ideally, we would like to send the flash protoype to a small screen -
the size of many cell phone screens and test it in the plastic shell
of our hardware design.

How do I send a Flash prototype to a non-pc screen?
What type of screen and connections do I need?

Thanks very much!
