Anyone worked with XForms

Anyone worked with XForms, or even better Lotus Forms for creating
XForms? Anything to be aware of? Major obstacles in terms of UX?

If your cool with talking off-list, I'd love to pick your brain(s).

Using full categories navbar in SRP, yes or no?

Hello folks.

I'm assisting the design team to create an e-commerce website. The
website has a few hundred items, with the typical product-category left
navigation bar in the home page and listings page, with 10 to 20
categories and probably subcategories.

In my experience, Dave, you're one in a million, if the UK scene is anything to go by. As a freelance, I attend a good number of interviews and more often than not, they do begin with someone asking about my 'process'.

Data entry format for phone numbers

Dear All,

I would like to hear advice from IXDA members on the format for entering
phone numbers in a web application.
Should it be displayed as

- + |Textfield for country code| |Textfield for area code| |Textfield
for phone number| OR
- + |Textfield for the entire number| OR
- |Textfield for the entire number|

Importance of Masters Degree for IxD Professionals

The recent thread on the SVA program and subsequent writing about online
programs has got me wondering - how important is a Masters Degree in a
design related discipline to the success of one's career?

As someone who is already working in the IxD field and at the same time
very geographically limited in terms of educational institutions I have
access to for furthering my education, is having a Masters Degree going
to limit my job prospects or success?

What do you guys think? Those of you with Masters (or higher degrees),
how has having one helped you.

Before I get to my post, I have to apologize to the list. A while back, I posted a request for a website critique and received LOTS of excellent feedback and suggestions.
