A Study on how End User's perceive change

Hey guys,
I am planning a study which aims to answer how end user's perceive change.
'Change' here could be upgrading of a software ( e.g. MS word 2003 to MS
word 2007), OS, switching between similar applications (e.g. MS Expression
Web to Dreamweaver) etc. I am currently trying to find similar studies from
backgrounds such as Behavioral Psych, Computer Science, HCI etc.

Has anyone conducted similar studies? Could anyone point me to any
studies/books/papers that could be related to this?

Thanks!

NYC IxDA & R/GA are proud to present Dan Saffer's Talk "Tap is the New Click"

A while back Dan Saffer gave a great talk for NYC IxDA hosted by the very
generous R/GA. R/GA also put together this video so that everyone in the
IxDA community (and beyond) could experience this great talk.

I'd like to add that Dan is one of our amazing Keynotes, so after you get
this small taste of Dan, head on over to http://interaction09.ixda.org/ and
register to see him live. Memorex just teases ...

Beautiful Concept Modelling/Visualisation

to explain the history of the web. Beautiful work which is inspiring for
Ix/Ux documentation.

"Social reality" card game

Ever since I first heard about Alternate Reality Games, I've been
interested in the crossover of gaming ideas into the "real world".

I came across a game called Akoha a few months ago that promises to
use mission cards to encourage good deeds and interactions with new
people. They recently made packs of cards available for a few dollars
and mine arrived just before Christmas.
