How many alternatives, concepts, or sketches are enough?

More than the issue of "how many ideas", I always end up without adequate
prioritization mechanisms/tools by which to decide alternatives to choose
for inclusion in the iteration process.

How many alternatives, concepts, or sketches are enough?

http://www.90percentofeverything.com/2009/01/14/why-you-shouldnt-rush-into-a-solution-too-quickly/

usability testing equipment for mobile devices

Hello IxDA'rs

We are looking to purchase equipment for usability testing on mobile devices. I have done my research and there are 3 methods for this type of testing:

- Fixed device positioning: this setup is that the mobile device sits on a fix location with a webcam attached to the device via a metal neck or other type of support. The webcam points to the mobile device, recording the screen and the user's interaction with the device.

Site Map Design - Best Practices

Hi!

Based on your experience, research or any usability study, do visitors of a
public web site use the site map? If they do, what are the typical tasks?

What are the best practices in designing a site map?

Thanks in advance!
