Itching for haptic feedback

I'm just itching for haptic feedback. I read about mobile-phone screens that
have the capacity to simulate a clicking feel, so a flat screen pushes back
to mimic what your finger would feel if there were a mechanical button to
press.

I'd like that, but on a much larger scale. I want something the size of a
desk that lets me drag objects between the flat and the upright part of my
workstation, and lets me feel the edges of things as I push them across my
desktop with my fingers.

Question about survey design

I'm working on a survey for our users as part of an effort to get
quantitative data that will feed both into metrics and into a persona
project. I'm asking about usage and using the SUS for the metrics
piece.

My question regards the layout of the questions and responses. Is
there any work out there that assesses reliability, validity,
response rates, etc, for different question layouts?

An example is below; hopefully the formatting isn't entirely
incomprehensible.

Aptitude tests for interaction designers and practitioners of related fields

Can aptitudes tests for measuring a persons potential to be an
interaction designer, experience designer, design researcher, etc..
be used to promote ixd awareness and the amount of practitioners?

While aptitude tests (paper or interactive) can be gamed, they could
encourage students and professionals, who scored favorably in the
test, to look at interaction design and related fields.

I'm currently unaware of aptitude tests available to career
counsellors or the general public that evaluates a person's
'innate' ability for interaction design/experience design/design
research etc...
