[JOB] IxD Contractor(s) - Stimulant, San Francisco

Stimulant is on the lookout for interaction design contractors for
upcoming projects that will be run out of our San Francisco office.

We're looking for stellar track records and demonstrable grasp of both
the finest-level details and the highest-level concepts. If your
portfolio is web-centric, we want to see rich-media, non-standard
interfaces that are effective and not overly conceptual. Expertise in
data visualization, alternative/exploratory user interfaces, and/or
device/desktop experience is a huge plus.

[EVENT Recap] - Chicago - UXsears, multichannel changes in a large organization

It was a big night; easily the most attended event to date. There
wasn't even any food remaining at the conclusion of the event.

Andrew Daniel's presentation was compendious and informative. UXsears
has encountered and tackled significant challenges in the reformation
of an iconic American retailer.

Selling Interaction 10 to Management

Howdy folks... looks like there's a potential light at the end of the
tunnel, and my company may pay once again for a conference trip. So, in
order to do that I kind of have to provide a written "sales" pitch to my
management. Yuck. Anyone have anything "templatized" that I could borrow?

(Apologies for crosspost)
Hi all,
Google's slowly rolling out a rather drastic redesign. I wrote a little
review (you can try it out yourself following the instructions) and would
love to hear thoughts on it.

Just a quick note to remind people that tickets for UX London 2010 go

Leading attractions this year include JJG, Peter Morville, Josh
Porter, Scott McCloud, Bill Moggridge and many more.

Last year tickets sold out within the early bird period, and we ended
up having over 250 people on the waiting list.

System Usability Scale (SUS) for websites

I may briefly write in to

a) shamelessly promote System Usability Scale (SUS) [1] templates for

b) learn about whether or not you'd see any particular issues in using
SUS for website usability evaluation.

My experience over the years, albeit based on a limited number of use
cases, indicates that SUS scores pretty much correlate with what you'd
find out in user testing sessions too (referring to respective site's
general usability,
