Corporate Web Sites with Diverse Product Set

Does anyone have any favorite examples of corporations who do a good
job of presenting a broad and diverse product set on their
public-facing web site? I'm particularly interested in techniques to
get their audience to desired content, using innovations such as
showing bundled solutions by client segment or location (or both).

Examples of good UX within Financial websites.

Hi All,

I wondered if anyone on the list has some insights into good/bad UX when it
comes to financial websites - specifically the application process (loans

Initial research suggests the application process is quite poor and often
detached, both visually and functionality wise, from the containing site
used to sell the product.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Facebook and impression formation: A survey

Have you ever judged people based on their engagement in different Facebook
applications? I would like to invite you to participate in a short survey,
where you will be asked to evaluate two fictitious Facebook users, based on
their Facebook profile pages. The survey is anonymous and I will share with
you if any significant pattern emerges from the responses. Because of the
demographic profile of the IXDA group, it will probably be more of a curious
exploration than a controlled research experiment. Please feel free to
forward it to others if you like it.

Google added AJAX to Google Translate?

I used Google Translate a lot, from English to Chinese, from simplified
Chinese to Traditional. The process was like: you type in text you had ->
clicked the Translate button -> the page will help you to translate.

Today, when I use google translate, I find that as soon as you put in a
character, it will help you to translate it. So I guess google has added
AJAX function to the page, when you put anything into the text area, it will
trigger the translation function, and begin to pull out data from the
database(or something like that).

Validating personas

I'm hoping to find out if anyone else on the list has done this.

We're currently in the middle of a persona development project. One
of the leaders of the project has expressed a desire to validate the
personas. In other words, conduct a survey of our user base to find
out whether the characteristics illustrated in the personas match our
actual users.

The personas were developed based on field research with about two
dozen customers.
