SocialFeet.com is a seed-funded startup in NYC that helps online

As we expand sharing to reviews, ratings, wish lists and more,
SocialFeet seeks an exceptional engineer to lead our front-end

User cookie authentication vs. Security

I work for a very well-known publishing / corporate site that
attracts a high number of C-level global visitors. Our Security IT
department has has asked us to change our login procedures to
auto-log out user after 30 minutes (like a bank) as opposed to never
auto-expiring a login authentication cookie.

Indexing / storing usability study results

I am working in an organization that is focused on doing quick,
lightweight usability research, especially once the work has a good
foundation: bringing a design into a coffee shop, for example,
running 5 quick (15 minute) studies, making changes, showing 3 more
people the next day, etc.

In this model, I've seen things get revised and re-tested 10 or more

At the same time, there is a formal research organization that would
like to have all the results organized and indexed so they can find
them later.

[IxDA SF EVENT] Nilofer Merchant, "When Creativity Isn't Enough, Try Murder" - January 14, 2010 - 6:30pm to 9pm

Event Description
Making the right choices leads us, and our teams to thrive. Many of the best
design thinking waxes poetic that the best ideas come from "blue-sky
ideation," but generating ideas is only part of the challenge of our work.
While brainstorming generates lots of ideas, but you still have to discern
the right choices to win. AND you have to get a group of people to believe
that IT is the right solution

That means we need to have a way to build a vision, envision options but
then make the tough choices to choose ideas that match the goal.
