Best periodic table

I'm in search of a good printable (non-interactive) periodic table. I would love to find one that is both informative and nicely presented at the same time. Any suggestions?

Fitts's law: Speed and Start values for common devices

Hi, 

I am in search for the average start-stop and speed values for common devices like mouse and use of fingertip.

Fitts's Law: MT = a + b log2(2A/W)

the values I am in search for are a and b in the formula. Exlanations of the Law can be find everywhere, but almost all state that a and b are device-dependent and can be determined experimentally. Instead of setting up a valid experiment straight away I would like to ask if somebody already has determined the values for common pointing devices.

Ways to Collaborate within the UX Team?

Hi,

I was wondering what ways other UX team members and managers use to encourage their team to collaborate.  We have a big UX group (more than 20 people) including designers, researchers, writers, and implementers and would like to encourage them to collaborate more.

UX Design reading material wanted (magazine)

Hi,

I'm looking for reading material regarding UI/X design, paper based magazines, I'm subscribed to a lot of blogs but I would like to have something to take with me when commuting.

Does anyone know magazines, or is anyone subscribe to soething like that, all input is welcome.

Does User Experience Save/Make Money?

So, try as I might, being a new UX developer, I'm trying to find reputable data about reputable companies who saved/made [insert actual dollar figure], and how usability testing was responsible. I was actually told at work today that "there is no way you can prove that usability testing makes money." It's a personal challenge now. Smile

You do what? Explaining UX to the unfamiliar.

Pretend you're at a cocktail party.  As is usual, you're milling about, meeting people and exchanging the standard "So, what do you do" lines.  To some people, your answer of "I'm a user experience designer" makes sense - they're in the web/tech world as well and are familiar with they type of work.  However, occasionally, the conversation goes as follows:

Innocent partygoer: "So, what do you do?"

You: "I'm a user experience designer"
