Persona creation tools

I am wondering if except for the already well known, whiteboard, sticky notes, markers and large sheets of paper are there any digital tools available to facilitate the collection/analysis of data, creation of personas and of course of scenarios in a shared environment?!

If you are not aware of such a tool, what are the pieces of software that you'd use together in order to satisfy such goals?!

I have found a couple of videos showcasing a prototype for a touch responsive interface created at Stanford that aims at becoming such a tool

Community-driven quality control on site content

Does anyone have an experience with collecting feedback on content quality on large, community-driven sites? I see that the IXDA site is using "flag" to vote up and mark as "inappropriate", but I want to hear about collecting more actionable feedback, much like the Get Satisfaction widget is doing.

In particular, it's for drupal.org, where anyone can create content, but managing it is much more challenging!

Advice for drive testing

Hello everyone,
I'm emailing this list asking for advice.  I have a client who makes cell phone-based navigation systems, and they want to do some drive testing -- that is, testing where I'd be in the car with the participant observing them as they navigate.  Has anyone on this list done this before?  If so, please let me pick your brain for some advice.

Managing Client Feedback

Hi All,

For anyone working in a client services/agency format, or with a sea of internal stakeholders on large scale projects, I'd love your comments. Managing client feedback can be a detailed painstaking process. It's not the fun part of design, however it needs to get done, and when done right can it really make a difference. I'm interested in the following with respect to managing feedback for wireframe documents:

Creating color palettes

I'm in the progress of designing a set of charting, graphing, and data viz controls that will be incorporated into an enterprise Windows application that displays loads of financial data. I've looked at a lot of the 'out of the box' offerings, and while the functionality is largely passable, I haven't been particularly impressed with the aesthetics on most offerings. No hate mail please - I realize the "shiny" factor is more for my boss than for my users :)

Distracting Users During Load Load Times

I've got the following problem:
we're trying to incorporate bulk actions to a list and the server needs time to process mulitple requests, which result in a long loading time (around 10s-20s).

Been looking for a list on what techniques we can do to distract users from feeling the loading time being slow. Were currently implementing an loading bar ajax loading on loop would you guys know any other way thats more satisfying than this?

Thanks!
