The 2014 Interaction Awards are open for submission until 30 September!

We've found some wiggle room in the schedule and are happy to extend the deadline for submission from the 15th to the 30th of September.

Enter now!

In its third year, the Interaction Awards are a way for IxDA and the industry to celebrate great work in Interaction Design, and gives us all examples to hold up and consider moving forward.

The entry is easy. You can read all about the rules, but here are the basics:

Submission deadline for Interaction14 is this Sunday (September 1st)

Hi IxDA member,
This is Gilles from the Interaction14 Program committee,

I want to give you an update on the Program Front and suggest ways for you to participate in the preparation of our – the IxDA community – event.

The pace of submissions is really intense so far, with very diverse topics. and we expect a lot more submissions in the following 2 (two!) days. We are very very excited to create the best Interaction conference from your submissions.

Visual Identity guidelines vs. Product design guidelines

I have been asked to (again) explain this difference at my work and am searching for a fresh perspective on this conversation. Has anyone else here ever had to explain this difference to others? What explanation did you use & did it work for you?

Copy is design, on Tumblr

Hey all, I'm the co-author of the "Translation is UX" manifesto and related article on ALA. I'm also member of IxDA Lyon (France).

I'm pleased to announce the launch of a new project: CopyIsDesign.com. This Tumblr is meant to illustrate the role copy plays in the user experience, through the sharing of examples of great/bad copy and translated copy.

IxDA discussion forums - why a linear feed and not categories?

Ever since I started using the IxDA website, I've been curious why the discussions are shown in a linear feed vs a more traditional category or sub-forum organizational structure. I have a terrible time trying to find anything here because the only search tools are keyword based (search box at the top of the page and word cloud on the side) which generally ignore the secondary information heirarchy of time, and thus seem to return extremely old, and generally no longer relevant posts.
