ISA 2017

Interaction through the islands: Design as interaction, innovation, business and beyond

9-11 November 2017

Interaction South America - ISA - arrives at a time of strong consolidation of user experience design (UX) in several segments of the Latin American market and, after 4 years, the conference returns to Brazil for its 9th edition. ISA will be held in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, from 9-11 November at the Governador Luiz Henrique da Silveira Event Center. #ISAFloripa17’s goal is to foster connections between different “islands” of knowledge (themes): Technology, Businesses, Communication and Human Sciences, having design as a central point in the interaction between these areas.

The first day of the event, 9 Nov (Thursday), will have a "Community Day" format, with multiple and synchronous presentations of scientific papers, talks and market cases on multiple stages for each of the four “islands” of knowledge. In addition, international workshops will take place in parallel to the presentations and will be conducted by invited keynote speakers (under separate registration), being a unique opportunity to have access to best in class content and practical knowledge.

Submissions of proposals for scientific papers and market cases will be accepted until 3 July. The selected papers will receive as a courtesy 1 free ticket (regardless of the number of authors and not cumulative) and the best scientific papers will be published in a special edition of the LOGO e-Magazine (qualis B5).

During the last two days, 10-11 November (Friday and Saturday), about 16 keynotes will be presented on the main stage, highlighting referenced professionals in design and related areas from all over the globe. The speakers confirmed so far are Russell Parrish - IBM, Fabrício Teixeira - R/GA, Sophie Kleber - Huge, Andrew Kaufteil - Cooper and Mariana Salgado - Su & Co.

The purpose of the 9th edition of ISA is to host an event not only for designers, but to promote an exchange between developers, advertisers, managers, entrepreneurs and anyone else who can benefit from the user-centered design approach.

Registration is open and the third batch of tickets is valid until 30 August. Teachers and students from any country are entitled to a 50% discount.

Hope to see you in #isafloripa17!
