Description: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an established digital design manager to join the News, Sport & Real Time Experience (RTX) area within the Future Media and Technology Department as the new Head of User Experience & Design (UX&D).

 

A successful candidate will have a good understanding of future media platforms.  An understanding of the PC Internet and Mobile are essential: experience in Interactive TV is highly desirable. As are team management skills, incorporating line management and personnel development and strong communication skills.

 

Do you have experience of leading digital design teams (including user experience strategy formulation and implementation) and considerable experience working with systematic design in or for fast-paced newsroom /editorial environments?  Do you have an appreciation of the strategic editorial, technological and business issues facing the BBC, BBC Online and of the changing needs of audiences in the digital world?
