Bestica, nation’s leading UX staffing firm, is actively seeking a Information Architect Manager for an excellent full time opportunity with our client, nation’s number one e-commerce company in its field, in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is looking for someone who is very much hands-on Information Architect/UX Designer, creating information architecture and usability design, and can lead a team of Information Architectures.

The Information Architect Manager will need to develop expertise in interaction design across the entire site, knowledge about competitor’s design and strong understanding of best web information design practices. You will also be assessing the right information architecture/user experience design efforts needed, the right resources required and maintain the desired resource plan and design standards.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and advance the information architecture, interaction design standards, workflow, and navigation and labeling systems for our client.

• Lead interactive product development; evaluate project scope, identify and understand user interaction issues and relationships and recommend approach, estimating the IA level of effort needed for each project.

• Demonstrate extensive understanding of business needs and identify viable opportunities and appropriate tradeoffs.

• Collaborate with business team to understand business requirements and conduct competitive analysis of competitor’s designs. 

• Propose an information architecture approach that meets our client’s business objectives and consumer experience needs.

• Work closely with research teams to understand consumers’ needs and evaluate usability issues subsequent to designing the interaction and information flow.

• Review wireframes, information designs and workflows of team members and suggest appropriate design considerations as needed.

• Translate and provide information architecture direction for visual designers, content management, and front-end developers.

• Create low and high fidelity prototypes for usability evaluations as needed.

Qualification: 

• Minimum of 6 years experience in information architecture, interaction design, human factors engineering in the development of high traffic web sites and/or web-based applications.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

• Solid experience with workflow diagrams, schematics, user scenarios, use cases and a robust understanding of information design concepts and browser and interaction design constraints on the Web.

• Strong creative conceptual skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into viable visual representations.

Strong prototyping skills and expert knowledge of varied human factors methodologies and usability protocols.

• Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and team work skills.
