Job Description

CAS has an immediate opening for a User Interaction Designer in its Information Technology Division.  This position will Lead UI design efforts for new desktop and web based products with the goal of creating the most usable user interface possible within project constraints. Work with marketing contacts, requirements analysts, and the development team to understand user needs and then create a UI that meets the needs. Deliverables include sketches, conceptual and detailed user interaction specifications, and usability evaluations.

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of User Interaction design experience for web based applications.
  • Degree in Human Factors, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven skills in interaction design, user-centered design, persona development, and concept modeling.
  • Demonstrated results showing creativity and innovation.
  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and skills of abstraction.
  • Experience with online searching and Chemistry is beneficial
