The User Experience and Design team in Future Media and Technology at the BBC are hiring!

We're looking for fantastic mid-weight and senior interaction designers, who are looking to work in a problem-solving, collaborative design team, with close relationships with producers, developers and product managers.

About the job:

As an interaction designer you will work with visual designers, developers and information architects to determine the user experience on mobile, web and interactive TV products. You will define the interactivity on a variety of products, proposing solutions that balance user needs with business goals and technological capabilities. You should be driven by finding out how and why people use products, and passionate about communicating these needs to your team. You will propose solutions to problems that excite and enthuse the audience.

Your job will be to:

  • Solve interaction design problems using analytical and creative methods.
  • Provide expertly crafted documentation of a nature appropriate to the problem.
  • Advise and help conduct user research, when required.
  • Promote the discipline of interaction design within the BBC as a whole.
