JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a talented Product Designer who has a strong sense of design, empathy for users and knowledge of online usability standards. You will work on designing user interfaces for our web pages and online products. You will also be involved in defining user experience and site navigation development. Candidates must have superior organizational skills, be able to pay particular attention to details, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to work in a complex, deadline driven environment. Applicants must have the flexibility to accommodate changes and requests with a demonstrated ability to solve problems and multi-task.

Responsibilities:

• Take an active role in understanding the business and our online products.
• Create original graphics for use on the site and within our product interface.
• Design web applications and products in conformance with corporate standards for visual design, navigation, usability and performance.
• Create interaction design documentation including site maps, process flows and wireframes.
• Manage several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 2 to 4 years experience as an interaction designer, information architect or visual designer.
• Solid understanding of user centered design principles
• Excellent skills in typography, layout principles and color theory.
• In-depth knowledge of browser support, web standards and constraints.
• The ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to think critically and provide multiple alternatives to achieve an objective.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated portfolio of work required.

Technical Requirements:

• Adobe CS3
• Expert knowledge of Visio
• HTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML and XML a plus
