Sr. Manager of Website Experience & Analytics


optionsXpress is seeking a Sr. Manager of Website Experience & Analytics to help lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the interaction design and optimizations of the website and landing pages.  The ideal candidate has a passion for user centered design and a wide breadth of experience across multiple types of products and design methodologies as well as offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities, and a collaborative working style. 


The Sr. Manager of Website Experience & Analytics responsibilities will include

·         Develop and effectively communicate best practices for analyzing user behavior, configuring and utilizing web analytics technologies, and interpreting data

·         Be the resident expert in user experience strategy, online user behavior, usability testing, and industry standard user experience best practices.

·         Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing information architecture elements, performance metrics, customer research, competitive landscape, and industry standard best practices in order to continuously evolve and improve our online user experience towards overall business goal.

o    Provide innovative, customer centric information and design recommendations that contribute to an enhanced user experience and to overall company goals.

o    Define, approve and enforce the IA design and best practices standards.

·         Develop and execute complex testing based on best practices, analysis, and customer insights for improved account generation through the online experience.

o    Incorporate industry standard website testing methodologies

o    Determine success metrics in line with business goals and develop test reporting

o    Evaluate and interpret results

o    Develop and execute iterative testing

·         Project-manage all groups needed in website experience, optimization, and testing including: creative design, brand, marketing, product, senior management and QA. 

o    Drive process improvement changes to maximize team efficiency.

·         Determine key and secondary KPIs needed for successful monitoring/measurement of the website

o    Develop and execute all website reporting, analysis, and dashboards


Required Skills

·         Bachelor’s degree, preferred in a relevant business or technical discipline (such as Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.)

·         3-5 years of Web Analytics experience and/or User Testing

·         Experience in a leadership role (project lead also acceptable)

  • Thorough understanding of best practices in web design and user interface/information architecture conventions

·         Strong knowledge of task and use-case analysis, heuristic analysis, and user personas

  • Strong understanding of online design, marketing and advertising
  • Experience with techniques in formal and informal usability testing
  • Extensive experience with Omniture Site Catalyst including analysis of clickstream data
  • Some Experience with Omniture Test & Target or other testing tools

·         Some knowledge of SEO best practices

·         Strong understanding of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables and Graphs
