On Tuesday 18 December 2012 IxDA Nederland organizes the 21st Design by Fire Café. Design by Fire Café is an informal gathering for (interaction) designers. This edition will take place at the Huis voor Beeldcultuur in Breda.

Accessibility. You hear little about it nowadays. And if a customer asks for it, it's often considered a task of the developer. But accessibility is user-friendliness. The domain where the interaction specialist feels most comfortable. Johan will explain why, and will show how accessibility can be part of the design process. He will try to answer the most essential question: What does the user want?
Johan Huijkman is interaction engineer at Q42. After graduating from art academy, he worked as frontend developer at design studio Edenspiekermann for eight years. The static, two-dimensional designs left a lot of room for interpretation. In this way he learned the tricks of the interaction design trade.
