On Monday 27 May 2013 IxDA Nederland organizes the 25th edition of Design by Fire Café. Design by Fire Café is an informal gathering for (interaction) designers. This edition will take place at the Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht.
Up Close to the Rijksmuseum
Late 2012, a few months before the opening of the renovated museum, the brand new website of the Rijksmuseum went live. A new website, encouraging the visitor to discovery the collection with the tablet on their lap. 'Tablet First' was one of the key principles in the design of rijksmuseum.nl. The responsive website is optimized for use on iPad and tablet: clear and simple, with obvious buttons. 'Rijksstudio' is a special part of the website. Images of 125,000 artworks are free to download in high resolution.
Anna Offermans studied Industrial Design Engineering in Delft and is currently working as sr interaction designer at Fabrique. In recent years, she was involved in various interactive projects including the Rijksmuseum, SNS REAAL, Uitburo Amsterdam, Schiphol and Albert Heijn.
