IxDA Brisbane

Message to the group

IxDA Brisbane is for local Interaction Design and User Experience professionals who design interactive systems and products of all types: web, desktop, mobile, consumer electronics, digitally-enhanced environments and more. It's a get-together to share ideas and learn in a social environment, and is typically made up of short presentations and entertaining discussions on trends, tools, tips and techniques that help Interaction Designers in their day to day design work.

We have now moved this group to www.meetup.com/BrisbaneUX/. Come join us there.

We have moved.

The time has come for us to update this group's name and migrate to the Meetup.com site.

I have now set us up with our own group that we can use going forward. As part of this change we are also going to broad the name our our group the Brisbane User Experience & Interaction Design Group. It was felt that this will hopefully appeal to a wider audience and encourage more new members.

Presenters wanted for the next meet-up, 27th October

We're looking for volunteers to present/host a session. If you have a topic/idea that you would like to present on, please let me know. The floor is open to anyone and anything they suggest. While we started with some more traditional presentations, the only limit for the format of upcoming events is your imagination. Some suggested ideas/topics are latest trends, case studies, challenges you are currently facing on a project, great ideas you've had, book reviews, hosting a debate forum, collective design session jams, group yodelling. You name it. The more interactive the better.
