What are people interested in UX meetups?

There's been a lot of conversations recently in various forums and on Twitter about adding more structure to UX-related Meetups here in KC.

Because of this, I decided to throw together a small, simple poll to find out what people would want primarily from such events.  Please click the link below to answer and see what others are interested in when attending these events.

It's been a year. Is this group still active?

I'd love to take over the group if there is any interest. If the current manager would love some help, I'm totally cool with that also. I was VP of a local Mac User Group for years, and founder of the Adobe user groups here in KC. At Sprint, I do UI and UX for mobile apps, and I speak on wireframing, Fireworks, prototyping etc. I also run a conference here in town called D2W. It is a designer / developer / mobile workflow conference and we had our 3rd year here in town this year.

Get-to-know-each-other Thread

Hey good people of the Midwest! This is the obligatory/gratuitous intro thread where we post helpful information about ourselves.

Have at it!

New to KC

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the city, doing interaction design work with a local publisher. I just completed my MS in Interaction Design at Indiana University, and I'm glad to be diving in. I'm totally open to suggestions for fun stuff to do in the city and Overland Park area.

I'm interested in meeting everyone! This seems like a good time to get the ball rolling with introductions. Maybe if we can get some interest together, we can meet over a brew and nerd out.
