Senior User Experience Designer
Zymmetry, Inc.
New York, NY

Zymmetry is looking for an outstanding user experience designer with a
passion for creating useful, usable and desirable user experiences.

Founded in 1989, Zymmetry Limited is a leading solution provider for the
apparel industry. Zymmetry provides innovative global sourcing and
manufacturing applications to customers around the world.

As a fundamental part of the design team, you will be responsible for
designing, documenting and prototyping user interfaces that allow users to
harness the power of our flagship application. You will work with users,
business analysts, developers and other UX designers to define a world-class
experience for our users.

Our product is an enterprise application, deployed on both the desktop and
the web. It offers powerful functionality to manage data-rich supply chain
processes. We’re looking for a designer who is not afraid of complex
business processes—in fact you should relish those challenges this space

Desktop application design experience is a must, as are solid communication
and collaboration skills. You should be well versed in the techniques of
user-centered design, from ethnographic research to user, task, and goal
modeling; you should have a goal-directed orientation, an understanding of
usability and interaction design principles and the ability to communicate
design recommendations to a varied audience using a variety of techniques.

Required Qualifications
• Solid understanding of user experience design for desktop
• 2-5 years experience designing, delivering, and documenting
high-quality user interface designs;
• Experience conducting user research and modeling the research
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Self-motivated and directed.

Bonus qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience working in enterprise settings;
• Experience in supply chain management and/or garment industry;
• Experience working with international and distributed teams;
• Experience with interaction design methods including Goal Directed
Design, Contextual Design, and Usage Centered Design;
• Ability to create interactive prototypes and mockups.

• Prepare user interface specification requirements documents
consisting of conceptual models, process flows, wireframes, navigational
maps, mockups, and/or interaction flow diagrams based on interviews with
users, customers, analysts, developers, etc.
• Prototype feature and interface ideas using appropriate technology
from paper to Flash and anything in between.
• Synthesize input from all stakeholders, including customers, users,
developers, QA, product managers, and trainers to refine designs.
• Capture and document design decisions, assumptions, and rationale.
• Communicate design concepts to team.
