Hey there.

I was interested in purchasing a good, new or used ergonomic chair for use in my home office. I'd like to find a brick and mortar retailer within NYC or Long Island so that I may test-drive a few before buying. Can you recommend a store I can visit that has a large selection of different types of chairs?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Steve

I've used kneeling chairs for 20+ years now and highly recommend them.
"Kneeling chairs" because they're engineered to carry your body weight on
your knees rather than thru butt & spine. A little odd at first, but
actually physically refreshing - and you can feel much better posture.
Definitely give it a test dirve - It's a whole new sedentary experience.

Initially Scandinavian design (you know that's good), now more of a
commodity product. "Balans" is one brand. Just Google "kneeling chair".
Only place I could get mine waaaaaaay back when was at a "Scandinavian
Design" store in NYC on the East Side near 57th. Assume they're available @
some generic office supply places now. Looks like $90 - $250 is about the
range.

Other perks:
* My olde school version is foldable, so I can easily take it on site if
need be.
* Great conversation starter & chick magnet.
* Nails your identity as a cutting edge "user experience" guy

Congratulations on the new gig. Me too, initially in the City (not fired
yet...). Maybe we meet up? Also, just did a makeover of my website. check
it out.
