Extractable has an immediate opening for a technical writer with
experience gathering requirements and writing functional specifications
for web applications. We offer work on websites and web applications for
top brands in a dynamic environment with savvy, creative professional

As a member of our Strategy group, you will work in multidisciplinary
teams to create smart, innovative solutions for our clients. Our small
firm environment will require you to be a jack-of-all-trades when it
comes to requirements, specs, documentation, and tech writing in

Your responsibilities will include:
* Participating in discovery interviews and documenting client
* Drafting requirements documents
* Creating functional specification documents for web applications
* Writing/documenting use cases
* Constructing process diagrams
* Site documentation for delivery to clients post-launch.

* The ability to ask appropriate questions and communicate
effectively to a broad range of people: designers, executives, business
development and technical staff
* Experience in developing web applications or traditional
software applications.
* Proficiency in the MS Office suite (of course!).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to understand potentially complex concepts and explain
them clearly
* Familiarity with software documentation standards and key
* Understanding of database schema relationships
