Web Designer (contract)
AirPlay Network, a pioneer in the creation of mobile interactive
applications, is looking for a Web Designer (contract) to join its Marketing
team to provide visual design, art direction and interaction design for our
website, AirPlay.com. AirPlay.com is the marketing and mobile gaming community
website that complements our mobile game offering.
This position would be onsite at our offices South of Market in San Francisco 2-3 days a
week, other days can be worked remotely.
Hours will likely vary, but will be roughly 20 per week on average. We are conveniently located near Caltrain,
bus and BART.
The Website Designer will be responsible for providing visual design and
interaction design for AirPlay.com, our website.
Work closely with product managers, engineers
and designers to design and architect AirPlay.com website.
Art direction of visual design and branding of
Design and create user experience architecture
diagrams (site maps) and wireframes for web based gaming community and
Create visual design mockups for website using
Design visual elements of marketing promotions
and collateral (banner ads, flash promos, etc).
Contribute ideas for improving AirPlay.com user
experience and product features and improving AirPlay mobile games.
Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, Human
Computer Interaction, New Media Design or related field
Minimum of 2 years professional experience
(major website or agency preferred)
Strong experience in visual design, particularly
for the web (portfolio needed)
Experience in user experience design,
information architecture, and/or interaction design.
Strong experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
Strong passion for entertainment – sports,
reality shows, game shows, and other televised entertainment and/or gaming
Skills that would be a plus:
Experience with designing print marketing
Experience doing pixel art in mobile games or
Coding skills in or familiarity with Tapestry,
Experience in usability testing for websites
Interest in or familiarity with mobile gaming
Past experience working on a top 100 consumer
website (Ebay, Yahoo!, Google, etc) or prior experience working on a gaming
website (EA.com, ign.com, etc).
