Coming up with fresh ideas for making our customers happy is half the
battle. As part of Classmates' strategic product development team,
you'll also have to sell those ideas within the company, steer them from
concept to design spec, and bring them to fruition. It's a good thing
that you're able to seize the initiative in developing product ideas and
concepts, drawing from and synthesizing user-experience best practices,
brand, visual design, and interactive design. Your creativity and
originality will serve you well.
You'll respond aggressively to market and usability testing results to
refine new product concepts into innovative and effective design
solutions. You have excellent attention for detail and a knack for
developing convincing solutions to challenging design problems. Typical
assignments include mocking up and rapidly iterating web page designs
for usability testing.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of web experience,
including 3 to 5 years of direct experience as a user interface
designer. You'll also have:
<li>In-depth knowledge of and experience in designing dynamic consumer
<li>A strong sense of ownership in your projects.
<li>A solid grasp of consumer branding, user-centered design, and
<li>The ability to work effectively within a team environment and across
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with appropriate software tools and
technology, such as Photoshop, Flash, DHTML, CSS, and HTML.
<li>Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
<li>Exceptional project management skills.
<li>A bachelor's degree in visual, web, or information design.
