Real-Time Collaboration team is looking for an experienced User
Researcher to help shape the next wave of enterprise collaboration
products.

RTC User Experience is a growing team of UX Researchers and Designers
united by a passion for collaboration and tools that enable it. We are
part of the Microsoft Unified Communications group that support
communications and remote collaboration of the largest enterprises
world-wide. Our product family includes web conferencing tools and
devices, such as LiveMeeting and Roundtable, as well as enterprise IM
and voice solutions, such as Office Communicator, Communicator Mobile,
and a range of IP-based phone devices.

RTC is rapidly becoming a world leader in enterprise VoIP (Voice over
IP) solutions for both traditional office workers and mobile workers.
There is a huge potential for the new kind of phone and whole new range
of things it can do and problems it can solve for its users. There is
also a mental shift on the user side. A new phone is no longer just
about voice; it is about rich multimodal experiences of voice, text and
video communication. Moreover, our phones know how busy or willing to
communicate someone’s contacts are and help the user choose the best way
of reaching their partners. We need a strong User Researcher who can
drive this paradigm shift to enable the best experience of our end
users.

The right candidate will carry out field research and usability
assessments of our phone offerings, as well as help developing and
executing long-term research programs focused on enterprise mobility,
phone usage, Presence, and other challenging topics.

You must be detail oriented and passionate about applying your research
into design directives. Your role is to guide product teams in the
design, development, and adoption of solutions that deliver outstanding
value to people and business.

Primary qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science
or related fields;

• Exceptional research skills to tackle mind-boggling research
challenges;
• Excellent communication skills to drive adoption of

business solutions;
• Strong skills in quantitative analysis and data collection
techniques;
