core product development team within D&B charged with revolutionizing
the way customers interact with D&B through its flagship product,
DNBi™. The team is in an exciting stage of growth and the culture is
organized and process-driven.

Position Overview
Global Portals is looking for a creative, innovative and driven
visionary to lead the 4-person talented design team and champion best
practices in user interface design. This leader's key role is to
spearhead new creative and strategic thinking across product releases
and drive the direction, style, and methodology of the design group.

- Inspire and guide a team of designers to creative excellence as both
a player and a mentor
- Champion best practices in user interface design and evangelize a
design culture of innovation, risk-taking, and help develop processes
to guide distributed development teams in these practices
- Manage all design initiatives, set priorities and direct the team to
ensure timely delivery
- Grow team to meet expanding business needs
- Build positive, collaborative relationships across Product Strategy,
Interface Design, User Experience and Development teams to produce are
highly-usable, world-class products

-Proven track record for
- Innovating UI design, information architecture, user experience,
development processes and organizational capabilities/structures
- Integrating user research and a user-centric approach into design
and product development
- Presenting concepts and building consensus among a distributed team
including senior management, business owners, product managers, user
experience managers, user interface designers and software engineers
- Managing a team of user interface designers, including writing
performance appraisals and developing career action plans
- Bachelors or Masters degree in HCI, visual design, industrial
design, or a related area
- At least 2 years of experience managing a design team with company-wide impact
- At least 5 years of experience as a practicing visual designer,
interaction designer, or other design-related role
- Strong experience leading teams who implement web application
technologies including XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, XML, JAVA,
Flash, etc.
