My current company designs & manufactures embedded devices (handheld
instruments, etc.) My previous experience has been more in Web/Application
design & evaluation.
My current task (a fire drill, really) is to evaluate several display
options to determine which are best for our users. I've never done this
before and envision we'll need to do this again, so am using this exercise
to build a test protocol for evaluating all displays that go into our
My question is have any of you done something similar? I've found several
sites online with bits and pieces that I can include in my protocol, but I'm
trying to identify good ways to measure readibility, etc., potentially when
tests are executed/facilitated by someone other than HF/UI/IxD.
Any tips, tricks or testing protocol templates would be greatly appreciated.
