Dan's wiki inspired me to dig out an old experiment I worked on about
six months ago for prototyping gestures with a Wii Remote on my
Macbook Pro. I've polished it up and posted it for others to create
their own interactive gestures.
The experiment I prototyped uses the Wii's three gestural primitives
(roll, pitch and yaw) to control iTunes on a Bluetooth-capable Mac.
There's definitely some tinkering under the hood required to
recognize more sophisticated gestures, but the basic framework is
stable and shows how the Wii works if you want to try it out. If you
come up with your own prototypes I'd love to see them.
