Hello Everyone,

A week or so back saw the first IxDA LA event in over 2 years and the first
one I've had the pleasure of instigating. I received a lot of support from
the event sponsor, HUGE, as wall as the other local leaders and the IxDA
board, so it wasn't too scary ;-)

The topic was "Methodology Madness" which featured 3 terrific local speakers
who talked about the methodologies they use and how their process has been
shaped by their environment:

- **Jaime Levy Russell - Experience Design Lead at HUGE
- Jens Jonason - Interaction Designer at Yahoo! Inc.
- Lisa Colvin - Practice Lead, User Experience Architecture at
Ascentium Corporation

Each speaker had an interesting perspective and the three of them touched
often on themes of trust and communication. About 47 people showed up and
the crowd was lively with a good spectrum of age, gender, and experience.
Many stayed to chat and mingle long after the talks and Q&A had ended. It
felt like a good party! The location, recording equipment, logistic assistance,
and a terrific spread of food and wine was provided by HUGE LA. Thanks to
them, I'm able to share an audio recording of the of the event with all

Listen in and feel free to continue to the discussion by posting on the IxD
Discussion list (discuss at ixda.org)

Thank you all for the helpful feedback about the event. The next IxDA LA
Salon will be held in June, in the meantime, enjoy the podcast and let me
know if you want to be involved in future events!

Kind regards,

Angel Anderson
