Senior Visual Designer - Bellevue, WA
Qualifying for this position relies on real world applied experience and therefore you must provide an online portfolio that demonstrates;

* Define the visual design aesthetics, principles and language for a new search based product line.

* Help manage external contractors for a series of new visual designs.

* Identify other visual user interface requirements and define design approach.

* Create conceptual designs and suggest product direction based on field research and visual requirements.

* Create guidelines and design language for communications that express a new brand.

* Develop visual design prototypes ranging from comps to interactive mock-ups.

* Develop visual interface specifications.

* Work with interaction designers to integrate visual and interaction design.

* Work with usability leads to design and observe usability studies.

* Work closely with interaction designers, marketing and engineers in an Agile (scrum) development process to deliver products. Required Skills, Education & Experience:

* 5+ years of web visual design experience, with 3 or more of those spent on product user interfaces.

* Bachelors or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Communication Arts, Fine Art or related field.

* Self-starter that is able to work both independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

* A strong portfolio of work with a mix of online interfaces, websites, and online branding.

* Commanding knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign among others

* Fluent proficiency in Flash- proficiency in Action Scripting a big plus

* Working knowledge of Silverlight a big plus.

* Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, etc.

* Experience in conceptualizing promotional creative

* Strong layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design skills
