I was looking at the NYTimes.com's and CNN.com's voting results displayed on
interactive Flash maps.

Is there any software or plug-ins of the United States offered in
Illustrator or Flash, that outlines each
states and their respective counties?

Does anyone know anyone who works at the NYTimes or CNN online whom I could
contact to ask?

Thanks!
-Gloria

Hi Andrew,
This site is great. The state boundary lines look identical to what they're
using on the NYTimes site. And it allows for XML data entry!!

You might want to look into Elixir from Ilog, if you are doing Flex or
AIR development, it is a nice product and you can use your own maps
(ESRI shape files), depending on your goals you can display Google maps
in Flash.

Mapping resources we use
http://www.ilog.com/products/ilogelixir/features/maps/

http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/

http://www.afcomponents.com/components/g_map/
