I am halfway through Malcolm McCullough's "Digital Ground" and it occurred
to me this is a book I want to have conversation with others on. Its just
an amazing read especially on the synergy's between Architecture and IxD.
Any takers on setting up a book group?

Anyone tried successfully to have a discussion about a book that was
meaningful online? I have only done it with a face 2 face group before so
I am unsure of how it might work online.

Note to NYC IxDer's, we could also make a local book group a subset of our
Face2Face efforts for anyone who is interested.

Greg

p.s. By the way anyone want to offer up their favorite ixd "reads" for
the year?? With the holidays approaching for some of us, a good list of
books will be helpful for gift lists. I will be happy to compile the list
of books and report back.

As a support note ... If there is interest for something like this, I would
be happy to set this up using our resources.
1. Forums so that this isn't done in e-mail
2. An e-mail list

That's an either or. I have no way of setting up a forum that runs via
e-mail.

AND someone in that group will have to volunteer to manage the member list,
and set up the "assignments".

I would also add a special web page in the "Join Us" section of our web site
where someone can easily update a current reading assignment, but again,
someone will have to be trained and put in charge.

Please contact Greg, if you are interested. He's the brain child so he's the
organizer. ;)
