Hi folks,

I wanted to post this message a second time as it's an important
update and an opportunity for community feedback if you so desire.

Please see the main update announcement here:

The principal part I wanted to re-share is that we have published the
Conan Design Doc for all to see: . This material
represents the fruits of over 10 months of work from the
all-volunteer IxDA Conan team. We investigated our community's
needs, developed user experience requirements, conceived interaction
design & visual design solutions, and conducted a concept feedback

If you want to comment on what you see in this material, please talk
about it here on list or feel free to send private feedback to me via
email. We'll see what we can do to prioritize new ideas or
suggestions within the current project. Else, we'll create a product
backlog, as future extensibility is a HUGE cornerstone of our web
platform strategy. Conan is by the community, for the community! : )

Liz, and the rest of the Conan team.
I just want to congratulate you on a thorough and well thought out
IA, Visual Design and Interaction Design document.

Thank you for what was obviously a lot of hard work.

It is hard to give criticism to a document like this b/c I'm sure
there was so much conversation about each of the elements in there.

In terms of "feature requests".

In the job board under location (or near it) something about
relocation and another thing about telecommuting.

A section that is missing which is well the biggest recurring thread
on the discussion list is about programs that teach IxD. A big
resource section to be paid to this item. Maybe the education
initiative can work with the conan team about this obvious need.
Pauric's palatial map might be a good place to start.

thanx again for the amazing hard work. Great to see IxDA eating its
own dog food and putting this kind of HUGE effort forward.

Super, thanks very much for reviewing the doc, Dave!

RE: these two "feature requests," I daresay that the Job Board
postings can address relocation & telecommuting in the body of the
posting at launch. But it would indeed be great to filter explicitly
for jobs that support relocation and/or telecommuting. At least a
global search for those terms that's constrained to the Job Board
section would turn them up....

And yes, an Education section is definitely the biggest chunk of
content without its own home. I've long envisioned that Education
becomes a top level navigation item. In the meantime, it should be
made into one of the top-level Topics in the Resources area and also
a tag for Discussion contents. A list of educational programs could
also be added to the Hiring Resources section in the sense that
school is a resource for professional growth. So, whenever the
Education initiative produces some material that they feel is
relatively complete it could be worked into a variety of places.

Room to grow, room to grow...that's what we're all about! ;)
