Theme for WUD 2009

This year’s theme for WUD is “Design for a Sustainable World”.
Designing for a Sustainable World focuses on how our products and
services impact our world. We look at all products and services,
whether they are buildings, roads, consumer products, business,
services or healthcare systems; throughout their life cycle.

This year’s event in Bangalore will focus on discussing various
aspects of how we can design for a sustainable world. The event will
bring in well known speakers and thought leaders, across domains, who
are making the difference through sustainable design.
[edit] Topics to be covered

Among the topics we will be covering are:

* Sustainable architecture and green buildings (how it works, how
to build)
* Sustainable living and lifestyles (what it involves, how to get
there)
* Sustainability metrics and measurement (how to begin, what to
focus on)
* Accessibility (how to make universally accessible systems)
* Digital Communities for Sustainability

If you have interesting speaker ideas or topics to add, please email
any of the volunteers.
