Lead User Experience Designer

Clearwell presents a unique opportunity for an exceptional designer
to help build a cutting-edge Web 2.0 enterprise search application
that prides itself on providing "consumer-level" ease of use and
simplicity to business users.

The User Experience Designer will work closely with the product
management and engineering teams to drive the definition and
development of the user experience for all solutions leveraging the
Clearwell E-Discovery Platform. The position will report to the
Director of Product Management.


Understanding customer needs and working with product management to
translate these into innovative and compelling designs
Conducting customer research and usability testing
Designing the user experience for all features including information
architecture, interaction flow, and the look and feel for the
Developing prototypes to be reviewed with customers and sales teams
Defining user interface specifications and producing graphics for the
final product
Guiding and inspiring the engineering team to ensure the
implementation meets user interface specifications


Standout creative problem solving abilities
Strong interaction design intuition
Good aesthetic sense
A minimum of 3+ years of designing GUIs for web applications with a
strong portfolio
Experience with user-centered methodology and usability testing
Expert skill level in the standard tools of the trade such as
Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, HTML, etc.
Ability to rapidly prototype designs
Ability to build and manage a design team as the business grows.
Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability
to work within cross-functional teams
